Add Firecrawl’s web search and research capabilities to Claude with a remote connector.
The account endpoint in this guide is not live yet and currently returns 404. Until the rollout completes, keep existing Firecrawl connectors on https://mcp.firecrawl.dev/v2/mcp; do not configure /v2/mcp-oauth yet.

Firecrawl in the Connector Directory

If Firecrawl appears under Customize > Connectors, select it and click Connect. Complete the Firecrawl sign-in and authorization flow when prompted. See Anthropic’s connector guide for the current directory flow. This is the normal end-user path for an approved directory connector. Firecrawl’s directory profile provides its reviewed search and research tool set. You do not need to add a custom connector.

Individual custom connector

Use a custom account connector when you need Firecrawl’s full hosted MCP tool set rather than the focused directory profile. For an individual Claude account:
  1. Open Customize > Connectors.
  2. Click +, then select Add custom connector.
  3. Enter https://mcp.firecrawl.dev/v2/mcp-oauth as the remote MCP URL.
  4. Leave the OAuth Client ID and Client Secret blank under Advanced settings.
  5. Click Add, then Connect. Sign in to Firecrawl, choose the team to use, and approve access.
Claude supplies its public-client metadata automatically. Do not create or paste an OAuth client ID or secret.

Team and Enterprise custom connector

An Owner or Primary Owner first adds the connector for the organization:
  1. Open Organization settings > Connectors.
  2. Select Add > Custom > Web.
  3. Enter https://mcp.firecrawl.dev/v2/mcp-oauth and leave the optional OAuth credentials blank.
  4. Finish adding the connector.
Each member then opens Customize > Connectors, finds the connector marked Custom, and clicks Connect to authorize their own Firecrawl account. See Anthropic’s current remote connector guide for current availability and UI details.
